Hidalgo ISD introduced its brand-new serving line at Ida Diaz Jr High School on Thursday, October 7th. The serving line not only creates a modern aesthetic cafeteria look, but also provides necessary upgrades to help maintain the highest quality of food and order.
The students were ecstatic when they first came in the cafeteria and saw the new and improved serving line. The new cafeteria serving line was presented by Superintendent, Mr. Xavier Salinas and the members of the cabinet team that helped contribute in making the serving line a reality.
The Child Nutrition department hopes that with these new upgrades, it will simplify things by serving the students their meals along with order and structure. After serving over one million meals to the community over the course of the pandemic, the team is determined to keep going above and beyond for the students.
"This is a game changer, our equipment was beginning to get outdated, there were things that we had needed and had been requesting, and the district got all of that and more for us” declares Cafeteria Manager Nelly Alaniz, with much optimism!
